How to Join the JYM Retreats-Parent's Facebook Group.
Do you use Facebook? If so, we hope that you might consider joining our new JYM Retreats-Parent’s Forum! This group is designed for parents of children who attend our Junior Yearly Meeting (JYM) Elementary Retreat Program, as part of New England Yearly Meeting of Friends. This is a "closed group" open only to JYM Retreat parents and our JYM Retreat program staffers. In a nutshell, we'd like to create a forum where parents and stay in touch with one another from time to time and create a place where myself as the coordinator, and other terrific JYM Staffers, can converse with parents as well.
One of the blessings of our retreat community is that our JYM Retreat Staffers also nurture and contribute to sustained relationships from one retreat to the next with children, and occasionally parents find it valuable to communicate directly with our incredible staffers as well. This forum will help support that connection among JYM Retreat Staffers and parents as well.
If you don't use Facebook and would like to consider creating an account, here's how:
To sign up for a free account, visit the official Facebook site at: http://www.facebook.com/
Once you have created an account, look for the "Search box, usually located in the upper left of right side of your Facebook home page. Type in "JYM Retreats-Parents Forum" and you'll see a drop-down menu from which to select from . We should be right there. Click on it. When the page opens, you see an option to "join this group." If you are willing to join, fill out the form. Once I receive it from Facebook and verify that you are a parent connected with the JYM Retreat community, I'll approve it and you'll be a member of the group. How simple is that?
